Windows Vista Student Price?
I’m a college student and I heard from a friend that Microsoft offers Windows OS’s at a very low price (I was told around $7 but that could be wrong). Is this true? And if so, where and how do I get it?
You can get considerable discounts as a student. Academic versions of most major software titles are easily 30% – 60% off. They are the same exact versions as regular store-bought retail versions – just priced lower for students. They are available in any college bookstore. You will have to show a current school ID to purchase them.
As for the $7 Microsoft OSs, you might be able to get evaluation copies for the price of shipping, but these are time restricted and sometimes function restricted. I think most are good for 90 – 120 days. You can order an OS on CD, or, download the eval version for free. Go to download.microsoft.com and search using keyword “Trial” or “evaluation”
