Windows 7 help (Desktop Background and Power Settings)?

Two things I dislike about my version of Windows 7 Starter Edition. One, I cannot change the desktop background. *tear tear* And two, I cannot change the power settings to high performance? The heck? Maybe that doesn’t have to do with my version of Windows 7, but still, it sucks big time. Is there any kinds of tips or tricks I can do to change my desktop background? Because I do not feel like paying for any kind of costly upgrade, (I’m not made of money), and it was not very nice of Microsoft to be like “Hey, lets just force this annoying desktop background on our Starter Edition purchasers!!! :D ” (Lol jk I don’t know the story behind that.) And is there any way I can change the power settings to high performance? Its stuck at “Power Saving” or something like that and I can’t apply the change, apparently. Please help and thank you in advance.

You are stuck with it the way it is. Win 7 starter is just that a starter. If you don’t want to upgrade to home premium which is the cheapest upgrade legally you could…………download bitcomet and then get a copy of Win 7 from that website. I know people that have done it and they say it’s just like the real thing.

I pre-ordered 5 license of Win 7 and got a really good deal and I haven’t tried bitcomet myself but like I said I know several people that have and they say it works.

Have you looked into the anytime upgrade? I think it’s cheaper to upgrade that way.
