Can I upgrade and run window 7 in my computer?
My computer is xp and i have one chance from my friend to turn my computer to window 7. please help me out here.
My system info.
Operating System : Microsoft Window Xp Professional
System Manufacture : Hewlett-Packard
Bios : Phoenix- AwardBios v6.00PG
Processor : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
Memory : 760 MB Ram
DirectX version : DirectX 9.0c
I know that my ram is not enough, (at least 1gb right?) . But i’m thinking if is this enough to turn my xp to window 7 even if it’s slow(I’ll work with the speed of my com after upgrading it to window 7). I download and used the Window 7 upgrade advisor and the only issues is the ram and the aero support which i dont know what it it. Please help me. and Any Advice?
The question that you need to answer is what will upgrading to Windows 7 give you that you really need? What will 7 give you that XP does not?
The Aero support relates to the desktop interface and portions of it can be turned off to deal with it. You really do need to upgrade the RAM to have your system work well.
Unless you can find and justify the upgrade to 2GB, I would recommend upgrading to a new, inexpensive computer that will function better with Windows 7 than this one ever will,
