Windows 7 student preorder question?
I preordered a copy of Windows 7 Professional with the student discount. Now I just joined the MSDN Academic Alliance through my school and I really have no need for the copy I preordered. Is there a way to cancel the order as I have not yet been charged. I just don’t see a use for it because I can get a free one from the MSDN Academic Alliance.
Read the confirmation info you got in the preorder.
Do be aware, however, that what you get through MSDNAA may have different limitations. You might only be able to activate that once, etc.
I believe the student preorders are treated like regular retail copies.
If there is a difference like that, you might want to still hang onto the preorder deal since it’s unlikely to come around again.
