What are some Windows 7 x64 RC1 download locations?
I understand Windows 7 cannot be download anymore from the Technet or MSDN servers however they are still supplying cd-keys and such for people that have already downloaded it. The problem is that I need a download source, preferably not a torrent since I have not managed to find one that works, which will give a download location to it.
It actually wasn’t just available from Technet and MSDN — it was open to the public via Microsoft in general.
Since Microsoft is no longer providing downloads of it, there’s no longer a reliable source.
The RC is also unsupported and getting a little outdated now that the final version is just around the corner.
At this point I’d just wait for the final in October. If you’re a student you may be able to obtain the final already via Microsoft’s MSDNAA program.
