How to erase an operating system from the boot menu?
i have recently installed windows 7 to dual boot, but i got tired so i formatted my windows 7 partition….now i cannot delete the windows 7 option when i start up….ex:
Boot on which:
Earlier version of windows (XP)
Windows 7 (the one i need to remove)
This is easy.
1. Go to Start
2. Click Run and type: msconfig – hit enter
3. Click the Boot.ini tab
4. Click “Check All Boot Paths”
Windows will recognize the old OS is no longer installed and will fix the boot menu. If there’s only one OS on your PC then Windows will skip the boot menu during startup.
