i got a new computer that comes with Vista; in Oct i will upgrade to Win7, should i install a Win7 build now?
i am trying to figure out what the best course of action is. i dont want to invest alot of time into my machine (customization, installation of suites like Adobe, Office, etc.) when in a month i’m going to have to re-do it all over again, since a clean install of windows 7 is recommended. should i just lightly use Vista, wait for windows 7 to come and at that point put in the work, or should i install the latest windows 7 RC and buy the license in October? if i do the latter, will i still have to do a complete clean install when windows 7 is offically available? thanks!
you dont HAVE to do a clean installation of win7 if its for RC -> final, but its strongly recommended. i would wait till the official version comes out then backup all your stuff then do a full format.
