Upgrading to windows 7?
Hello, I have decided to upgrade my current pc running windows vista to windows 7. I have decided to do a clean install and was wondering if I store my media in a seperate folder on my main hard drive will it format the whole hard drive or just delete the old windows folder?
If you store the data on a separate partition and then during the 7 install choose not to format the entire drive to save that partition, you will be able to access that data from 7. This is only risky because you could mess up and hit the wrong button or skip through the install without reading and inadvertently destroy your precious data! So yes you can, just be SUPER EXTRA HARDCORE careful!
*Edit*
Wouldn’t it be easier to buy a 4gig flash drive for next to nothing?
