How do i dual boot Windows Xp And Windows 7 on separate hard drives?
I Had windows XP (32-bit) installed on just one drive in my system, and then i wanted windows 7 (64-bit) so i bought win 7 64-bit, and a new drive because i wanted to different OS’s to have their own hard drives, so i don’t have memory troubles and so i have a full 500GB for both OS’s. so once i had them both installed, i restarted and it just went straight to win 7, it didn’t give me a choice, between the 2 and so i restarted and went to boot menu and choose too other drive and it went to XP. I would like to have that option so when i restart it Asks me ” Windows 7/Windows Xp”, i have done it before but someone else did it for me, and i would like to know how to dual Boot so i can switch between the two easier than going into boot menu. Please Help!!
You have to change the kernel loader in order to do that. Normally, dual boot occurs when two OSes are installed on the SAME drive. Otherwise, the motherboard simply boots the first OS it finds (starting with the master drive and moving on to to slaves if no OS is found on the master). It’s that or you have to go to the BIOS boot menu and select which drive you want to boot from depending on which OS you want.
