windows 7 dual boot linux
How can I partition my hard drive using UBUNTU ‘s gparted so it will be able to run linux/windows 7 dual boot?

I have my whole hard drive an sda1 ext 3 partition with 457 gigs set as well as an extended 8 gb and linux swap 8 gb. How do I create parition for windows for multiboot?

you should install Windows 7 onto your computer first. Windows 7 will need to make multiple partitions for itself. then you can easily install ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala by inserting the cd into the drive while windows is running. it will autostart and guide you through the wubi installation.

If you dont want to use the wubi method then after windows is installed you can boot from the LiveCD and resize the partitions to make room for ubuntu using gparted from System-> Administration-> partition editor
