windows 7 gaming performance november
How should I choose a second hard drive?

I built my computer in November and I have a 1TB Samsung drive. It is very niiice! But after 5 months of owning my computer I have reached a point where I have 300GB left on my drive. I download a lot of videos and have quite a few games like Crysis installed, but I had no idea that my computer would be that full. I will be deleting a lot of my files soon and defragging, but I will be buying a second hard drive soon. I am thinking a 2TB internal with RAID 0 striping (my Asus P5Q has RAID built in) to increase performance and space. I was wondering how I should do this though. I am thinking that I should leave Windows 7 on my main drive and move everything onto the 2TB drive and then start striping after that, is that a good idea for a speedy computer?
I will also put all my programs on my first drive, so basically its just my media that will be going on the 2nd drive

RAID0 (striping) is a bad idea.

Why? Because if one disk fails, you will loose ALL the data, even if the other disk is still working. You are essentially doubling your chance of losing your data.

And with 2 x 2TB disks, you could be losing 4TB of data in one go. Talk about all your eggs in one basket.

Quake Live lag issues, Windows 7.. Cannot do ANYTHING in game.
