Does mySQL work WELL with ASP.NET? See details…?
I’m learning C# and wanna learn ASP.NET and associated techs such as LINQ which I take it is very useful for web programming.
How much trouble will it be if I wish to use most likely IIS 7, ASP.NET hosted on Windows Web Server 2008, but with mySQL? I can afford the 500$ or so for these, plus 1000$ for Visual Studio, but there is no way I can afford 5000$ or more for SQL Server!
So will everything like LINQ still work well if I use mySQL on IIS?
