Windows 7 upgrading is stuck?
i already had an installation of windows 7 (64 bit), but since i experienced some problems with it, i decided to try the upgrade option on the installation disk (yes, i tried repair, system restore etc. before this).
it started out fine, but now it’s stuck on the ‘transferring files, settings, and programs..’ part. i know it’s normal that that takes a while, but it also shows no updates. not how much programs are left, no percentage, even the .. isn’t moving or something. nothing to see that it’s still running like it’s supposed to. it’s now at least half an hour like this (dunno how long exactly, since i just arrived home from work). how much longer should i wait, and what should i do in case it still hangs?

probably true. after waiting for another hour, i just did a plain install. upgrade windows 7->windows 7 is not working!
you can not upgrade to windows 7 you need to do a fresh install i had the same prob.lol u will lost all you files if you do a fresh install so you better back up all your stuff on a external hard drive..for anyone reading this AT THIS TIME WINDOWS 7 WILL NOT UPGRADE.
