windows 7 kms issues?

I have windows 7 enterprise installed on my system it was running fine after activation for about 2 months but just recently it started telling me there is some kms error and that my windows copy is not legit. i also obtained the license from my school for free because they get the keys from Microsoft in bulk i dont know if that would affect anything though has any one had this or know how to solve it?
.going off what “no” has said i can understand that much but i have internet access now and windows has gotten its most recent updates so shouldn’t it have reset itself and said its valid?

if not how would i go about connecting to the school for validation?

KMS is an internal activation scheme that large enterprises can use to activate their copies of enterprise versions of Windows. The KMS message can come up for a number of reasons. But the most common that I’ve run into is that the system in question has lossed connection to the Internet at a time when the software was trying to phone home. Normally if you just re-connect to the internet and let the activation process run again it will say it was activated successfully. In the case if this system is internal to the location where a valid KMS server is located it would mean that the system in question can’t contact or locate a valid KMS server which is normally an indication of lost connectivity, invalid DNS information to find the KMS server or other issues. But since is from your school I would assume it is just a matter of you not having internet access at a time when it wanted to phone home.
