Windows 7, the latest version of Microsoft Windows operating systems, was introduced to the public on October 22, 2009. Said to have improved on many of the faults its predecessor, Windows Vista, contained; Windows 7 surprisingly is not at all difficult to install. Before trying to install you should first find out if your computer is capable of sustain the software. Here are the minimal requirements for your personal computer to successfully install Windows 7: 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 1 GB of system memory, 16 GB of available disk space, Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory, DVD-R/W Drive. After you have completed a thorough check of your operating systems, you can then choose from many different options in how you want to install the software into your hard drive.
The first option, and easiest, is to make a Windows 7 disc by burning the image to a DVD using something like ImgBurn. If you’re installing Windows 7 on a Mac, you can burn the image to a DVD with Disk Utilities. If that does not work out or you do not have the supplies needed to burn a copy on a DVD you could always put it on a flash drive for installation. You can also use this effective yet simple method on any laptop or Macbook. You’ll need a 4GB USB 2.0 flash drive and a mounting program like Daemon Tools on Windows or MountMe on Mac.
Format the flash drive in FAT32, mount the Windows 7 image, and then copy everything over to the flash drive. After that is done then pop in your disc or your flash drive. Boot from it, and follow the wizard. On a Mac, Boot Camp Assistant will take you through the process after you slide in the Windows disc.
Make sure it is the right partition of the hard drive that you are installing the software to or you will lose your actual current Windows install and write your license number down because you will need to enter it to complete instillation. After this step there will be a long wait for the system to actually load up into your system, after such you will complete a few more instillation screens you must pass before fully installing the system.
These are all the steps needed to properly install Windows 7. Enjoy Microsofts’ new gift to the world
