Can I use Media Center remote to control Xbox?
I am using Xbox 360 as an extender to watch media on my media center PC, using the Windows 7 media Center. The tuner came with a Media Center IR remote and blaster. When I am watching media using the Xbox (as an extender, to watch media on the PC), can I use the Media Center remote to control the Xbox?
Mmmmm, I think so. I know for a fact you can switch it on with the controller. I did that all the time.
EDIT: Yes you can. But you may have to punch in a code or look up the instructions of your particular media remote to find out how it works. But a lot of the functions won’t work – you’d be better off just using the controller.
