How many times can i use a reinstallation disk?
I recently got a reinstallation disk by dell for windows 7 professional….It allowed me to install Windows 7 on a Dell computer without the COA (its a COA for Windows xp Home)…But after looking at system properties it says 3 days until automatic activation and it has a special code for it, but its not the 25 digit COA profile, its shorter and includes OEM – numbers….Does this mean once the 3 days pass the disk will no longer install on another Dell because this code is used already or will it assign a new code? Will it even activate at all with this special code? I want to install windows 7 on every Dell I can cause I have like 5 of them and want to know if somebody has done this…THANKS!!!!
As far as i know you can use that reinstallation disc as long as you want with a dell computer/laptop. Code located at the system properties is unique on every computer.(mostly like hardware id). So don’t bother thinking about that
