windows 7 office 2003 compatible
Is Microsoft Office 2003 compatible with Windows 7?

I’m using Vista Home Premium (32 bit) right now with Microsoft Office 2003. If I upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) will Microsoft Office 2003 stay intact and continue to work?

Office 2003 will work with Windows 7.

HOWEVER, you can’t upgrade between 32-bit and 64-bit. Whenever you move between architectures like that you have to fresh install.

Only if you stay with 32-bit and do an in-place upgrade will Office 2003 stay “intact” and continue to work exactly as you have it now.

If you move from 32-bit to 64-bit you’ll have to reinstall Office, but it will work after that.

(And for what it’s worth, you *can* fresh install with the “upgrade” discs.)
