Windows 7 / Acer 5536 Audio Problem?
Ever since a did the free upgrade from Visa to Windows 7, I have been having all kinds of audio problems. For instance, when clicking on video files (all of the same file type), half of them will load and play just fin in Windows Media Player. Click on the next file, and I get a warning “windows cannot play this file”. Click on that same file again, and it might or might not play.
I addition, when changing the program to open the video (Real Player, Quicktime, VLC, etc) the video will come up, but has no audio. Additionally, If I have a Youtube video up (but paused) on Firefox, Windows Media Player, Real Player or VLC has NO audio until I close or change the tab away from Youtube.
Whats going on? Thanks!
Did you do the upgrade or a full install. I think with Windows 7 it is best to backup all your data and do a full install. When doing this Windows will put your old file on the C; drive and call it Windows old.
