windows 7 quicktime problem
iPod 7.2 Upgrade problem. Please help.?

Ok, so I’m trying to upgrade my iTunes to 7.2-Im doing this because I want to buy a song, but it won’t let me unless i have 7.2.

I have no idea what version iTunes I have now, I upgraded it a while ago now, because I dont like to upload it because last time I did, it completely changed and I couldnt work out how to put songs on my iPod for about a week, but thats a different story.

I have tryed to upgrade the new version (7.2), and it’s still saying it hasnt upgraded?!

And I use FireFox, so I opened the little thing that shows what you have downloaded from the internet recently, and I
clicked on iTunes, and it comes up with a weird message saying: “The iTunes + Quicktime installer requires Windows XP Service pack 2 or later. To install the latest Windows XP Service pack, use Windows Update.”

So, my question is, how can I fix this ? Is there a way around installing the lastest Windows XP Pack or do I have to do it ? Thanks :)

You will need to update your windows installation. Service pack 2 was released about 3 years ago. Microsoft no longer support older versions of XP so developers do not develop software for it.
