Upgrading from Vista to Windows 7?
Can I install the Windows 7 RC as an upgrade over Windows Vista and keep all of my files, or do I need a clean install? When the final version comes out, will I then be able to upgrade from the RC to final without a clean install?
It will be possible to simply upgrade from your existing Vista. However as with any major change it is still advisable to make a back up of any pictures, music and other important data before starting. The first law of computing is whatever can go wrong will go wrong. I am so paranoid I even back up before going to the toilet. lol.
