windows – android remote desktop help?
I am using an app called “Remote RDP” (free version) on my Motorola Droid (running android) to try to connect to my Windows 7 PC but it just doesen’t want to. I am almost sure I have everything setup correctly.
Android app – “Remote RDP”:
Host: (my ip address)
Port: 3389
User: ajb
Password: (account password to ajb)
Domain: ajb-PC
Windows Remote Desktop:
-I have it set to “Allow connections from computers . . .”
-The users I have added (by going to “Select Users”) are “Administrator”, and “Everyone”
(Is your computer a 64 bit system? It doesn’t work with that. If you don’t, read further).
If you are behind a router, make sure you are forwarding port 3389 to the computer your are trying to connect to. See router documentation to do this.
If you are using your Droid over the internet and you have a dynamic ip address, you might have a problem with that too. Google for the help.
