Command & Conquer 3 won’t run on Windows 7 64-bit?
Upgraded to a new computer running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit a couple weeks ago and just tried to install C&C 3 on it today. When I try to run the program a window pops up after a bit and says “Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel.”
Well windows 7 comes with DirectX 11 and my video card is an nvidia 260 GTX which is far more than capable of playing the game. I can’t find anything about hardware acceleration in the display control panel but every other game I have installed on this system has worked just fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game twice now and still we have failure to launch. Anyone know what the deal is?
Have you tried EA support itself? The game creators can help you better.
