why microphone doesnt work in windows 7?
i have installed windows 7 rtm on 3 laptops and 1 pc
my own laptop (dell vostro 1510) is fine and everything is ok
but the other 2 laptops and 1 pc have problem in installing the soundcard
all of them have realtek soundcard and i download the latest version for windows 7 for them, but none work
the sound comes out, but the mics dont work, i checked all the options in Control Panel > Sounds > Recording and all the configurations…
all the windows are just the same, do u have any comment or suggestion?
when i install realtek driver and restart, it still gives my soundcard name as “High Definition Audio Device” but mine is Realtek High Definition Audio”
so what can be the problem?

the driver for the mic is probably missing or not supported
