whats the difference between these 2 different windows 7 upgrades?
theres windows 7 home premium which runs for 119.99 and windows 7 home starter to home premium that runs for 79.95. whats the difference? i have vista running right now and im just curious if i can just install the cheaper one for 79.95 ontop of vista or do you have to have windows 7 starter to be able to run it? thanks.
You need the Home Premium upgrade (for 119.99). You can get the same thing as part of a family 3-pack for under $150 total if you have multiple computers though. In that case it works out under $50 per installation.
The $79.95 upgrade is only if you’re coming from Windows 7 Starter, like if you purchased a netbook that came with the Starter edition. It won’t upgrade you coming from Vista.
