should i update to windows 7?
i know it has not come out yet, but i was told that it comes out this month on the 22nd, and was wondering what anyone heard. I am a college student with a pc laptop that has vista and am going to grad school so was wondering if it is worth it if i upgrade to windows 7, I can get it for a low price threw my university, so that wont be a problem. Also does anyone know if windows office 2007 is compatible with windows 7.
I can’t confirm it, but I’ve heard that students can get Windows 7 for a cool $30. It’s supposed to perform much better than Vista and is more secure. I’m planning on buying it myself. Since you’re currently running Windows Vista, an upgrade to 7 would probably be good. The only PCs that probably shouldn’t upgrade are machines that came with Windows XP. There’s a good chance they couldn’t handle Windows 7 and run well.
