Windows 7 discount for having previous version?
Currently my XP Machine has more than enough horsepower to run W7 (upgrades,upgrades, upgrades)
When windows 7 is released will they offer discounts to those who still hold valid XP licenses or only newer PCs purchased with Vista
I would hate to spend 300 on a new OS knowing that a new PC preloaded costs maybe 200 more

MS will only discount people who bought new PCs after June 2009
everyone else pays full price
so if you bought a new PC before that
you have to pay premium price for a stable OS : (
They have no intention of offering discounts. The whole purpose is to force people off XP and into buying their worthless Vista and Windows 7. Now that Vista has turned into the kind of nightmare they were told it was going to be, they want you to go buy ANOTHER operating system.
Get Windows 7 Ultimate cheap or an XP license key
