Is my video card Windows 7 compliant?
I have a Thinkpad x31 laptop with a 16mb ATI Mobility Radeon video card? Does anyone know if this meets Windows 7 minimum requirements of ‘DirectX 9 – WDDM 1.0 or higher driver’? Thanks.
The reviews of the Thinkpad x31 I find say its Radeon doesn’t support DirectX 9.
The Basic (non-Aero) version of Vista also required a 32mb card at the minimum, not 16.
I have read of some people saying they’ve had no problem installing on systems below the minimum requirements (separate from video card issues), so I suppose there’s still a chance, but I wouldn’t count on it.
