FAT32 vs NFTS??
okay well i just bought a external hard drive, its quite bi8g and i would like ti use it to transfer files from my pc to my new mac.
now it is formatted using nfts, (or somet6hing liek that) which means that i can only READ the files with mac os x.
that is fine with me, for now but i have found a way to format it using fat32. that would be nice since i could readf and write usingboth wuindows xp, and macosx. but i dont want to do that if i would loose speed on the windows side
basically my question is:
are there any downsides to reformatting my drive in FAt32 format.
here is more info on my drive:

If you are wanting to use this drive to transfer files between a PC and Mac please format at FAT32. This will give you less problems.
